Crowd Watches Live IPL Procedure at Open House

The Aesthetic Solutions clinic in Kelowna was packed on Tuesday evening, March 8th as guests came to participate in the open house.
They were greeted by Dr. Vilas Prabhu and enjoyed a little bit of wine with their hors d'oeuvres as they perused around the relaxed living room-like office.
At the start of the session, Dr. Prabhu introduced a video segment from the Oprah Winfrey show, in which she talks about certain non-invasive esthetic procedures such as IPL (Intense Pulsed Light), Botox, and fillers such as Restylane and Juvederm, showing how these treatments, which are non-surgical (“non-invasive”), take a minimum amount of time and result in younger, tighter looking skin.
Dr. Prabhu proceeded to talk a little about the clinic and some of the treatments mentioned in the video. He then turned the focus to IPL, or Intense Pulsed Light, which treats spider and varicose veins, ruddy complexions and a number of other skin conditions.
After answering a few questions after his talk, the small crowd of about 20 people gathered in a nearby treatment room where a client was in the process of receiving IPL treatments.
They watched with interest as the Registered Nurse moved the shoe-sized device around the woman’s face, who said each pulse of light felt a little bit like an elastic snap, but it didn’t hurt.
The crowd slowly dispersed after watching a few minutes of the procedure. They asked the Dr. questions, browsed, and enjoyed their hors d'oeuvres.
It was an insightful visit to Aesthetic Solutions in Kelowna, and definitely worth the visit for anyone curious about their services.
