The DiamondTome Wand removes this layer of skin by gently exfoliating the skin natural diamond chips, while at the same time vacuuming the dead skin cells away in a sterile and controlled manner. Removing this outer layer of dead skin cells leaves a smoother texture and promotes the growth of healthy new skin cells.

Resurfacing using a DiamondTome Wand is similar to particle microdermabrasion and chemical but without the adverse effects of loose particles, irritation and skin reaction. Unlike other treatments, the DiamondTome Skin Resurfacing System uses no loose abrasives to contaminate you or the environment.

The Advantages of DiamondTome Wands

Resurfacing is a wonderful alternative to laser or chemical peels because it is non-invasive, non-surgical and requires no down time after treatment. Your skin will have a radiant glow, free of irritation and loose particles. Patients experience softer, smoother and cleaner skin after the first treatment. Treatment series vary from four to ten sessions depending on the condition being treated and the type of skin.

How much discomfort will I experience?

Resurfacing treatments using the DiamondTome System are painless yet effective. The degree of effectiveness is controlled by a widely adjustable vacuum in conjunction with the carrying coarseness of the DiamondTome Wands. Your skin care professional is trained to evaluate the effectiveness of the treatment while at the same time ensuring your comfort. Leading plastic surgeons and dermatologists regard the DiamondTome System as being more gentle than other exfoliating systems, even at its highest settings.

How will I look after the treatment?

Your skin may look slightly flushed immediately after the treatment but should return to normal in 10-30 minutes. Your skin will look and feel smoother even after the first treatment and will continue to improve with additional treatments.

CB Erbium Laser (for Laser Skin Resurfacing)

For 5 years, physicians all over the world have been using the CB Erbium laser for laser skin resurfacing. The use of this laser provides many benefits for the patient. The procedure is incision-less, which provides for consistent results, and recovery time is shorter, with less discomfort. By using this laser, the physician has more precise control and can eliminate the need for face lift surgery. The CB Erbium laser treatments are perfect for people that require a less intensive treatment, because it can be used on more delicate tissues, like the ones in the face.

This laser works by emitting a small, specialized beam of light, which passes directly through the skin and is absorbed by the water beneath it. This action removes thin layers of skin on the surface, reducing the appearance of wrinkles, and rectifying the skin's beautiful texture. Fresh new cells are formed in place of the old, dull ones, smoothing the and softening the skin's texture. This process reverses the effects of aging and makes the skin look an feel years younger.

How Do I Get Started?

Make an appointment with a laser center for a consultation with the physician. The physician will be happy to discuss laser skin resurfacing with you and answer any questions that you may have.

Is the Procedure Painful?

As with any medical procedure, the level of pain experienced varies with each patient. If you are concerned, ask you physician to discuss pain management options with you. A topical or more extensive anesthetic will be administered to the treated area prior to treatment. After the treatment, the area will feel badly sunburned, however the pain will disappear in a few days.

How Soon Will I See Results?

Noticeable results will appear within a few days following the treatment. The area will heal over a period of several weeks. Final results are dependent upon the depth and area of the treatment, as well as your body's natural healing abilities. The improvements are gradual, and take place as your skin heals. Your skin can continue to heal for months following the treatments.

What are the Side Effects?

The effects of the procedure depend entirely upon your skin type, and the exact treatment that you are receiving. There are some risks associated with the procedure, but because they vary with each patient, your physician will discuss them with you, upon examination.

How Long Will it Take to Heal?

The majority of patients have a short recovery time of 1 to 2 weeks, depending on the procedure. The area will have to be kept moist following the treatment. The initial redness will fade shortly, and make up can be worn almost immediately.
